Part of Goodman Community Center's mission is to provide resources to neighborhood residents. These resources range from information about community and agency resources within Madison to food on an emergency basis for families and children in need.
FOOD AND MEAL RESOURCES Goodman Community Center has an Emergency Food Pantry
that provides two to three days' worth of emergency food. The Center also offers free meals every Friday;
everyone is welcome although a large number of guests are older adults. In addition, every child registered in
a youth program at the Center receives a well-balanced and nutritious meal as part of
their program. The annual Thanksgiving program distributes
Thanksgiving baskets of food to families in need. Goodman Community Center's food programs are
supported by donations from neighbors through the Full-Pantry Block Captain Program. more
